The full game has 11 layers: 10 main layers plus a shorter eleventh layer and an optional bonus ending sequence. The demo contains the first 5 layers, ending in the Overgrown Depths.

Three characters are planned for launch: the Experiment, Milky and Dune. Only the Experiment is playable in the demo. The other two are unlocked by finishing a run with the previous character.

Yes. Death ends the run. A Last Stand can revive you once if your mood was high enough roughly 9–10 minutes before death. The chance ranges from 100% at high mood to 0% at very low mood.

The game saves when you reach the bottom of a layer and choose Save and exit. There is no traditional mid-layer quicksave; plan each descent as a single session.

The full game is $22.99 at launch with a 15% discount. Bundles with the soundtrack lower the combined price. The demo is free.

No Game Pass release has been announced. The only confirmed storefront is Steam, with an older Itch.io prototype still available but no longer the supported version.

There are no official mod tools. A community Archipelago mod exists for specific demo versions, but it is not maintained by the developer and does not work with every build.

You play a bioengineered Experiment sent into a cave network on an alien planet to retrieve lost cargo. You descend layer by layer, manage injuries, craft tools, trade with survivors and try not to die.

Yes. The tutorial teaches movement, first aid, crafting and the health panel with a sandbox, and the advanced First Aid and Crafting courses unlock after reaching Layers 2 and 3.
