What this layer is

Crimson Ascent is the eleventh and shorter layer, described by the developer as part of the endgame rather than another full descent. It is associated with an ascent back toward the surface and an optional bonus ending sequence.

The known flora includes Crimson Bushes, Crimtrees, Pus Sacks, Veins, Leadbushes, Brownshrooms and Glowshrooms. Beyond that, the layer is intentionally unrevealed. The full game launches November 9, 2026; this page will be updated with verified details after release.

Pre-release information. This layer is not playable in the demo. Details come from developer updates, community datamining and pre-release material, and may change when the full game launches on November 9, 2026.

Field notes

  1. Save a full medical kit for the ascent; the way back is still a survival layer.
  2. Do not spoil the endings for yourself if you care about the story.
  3. Expect the optional ending sequence to demand a specific route or item.
  4. Check the updates page after launch for verified endgame notes.
Depth check: this layer ends at 3,300 m. The demo’s final layer is the Overgrown Depths at 1,500 m. The full game continues to 3,300 m.

Packing for the descent? Read the beginner guide, then check the injury system before you treat your first real wound.
