What this layer is

The Fungal Pools are a wetland of fungus-themed tiles, traps and enemies. Constant rain raises wetness and lowers dirtiness, which sounds convenient until you try to sleep: wet insulation can drop body temperature far enough to kill. Life-pods are the reliable place to rest.

Grabber-Shrooms, Sawblades, Sidestabbers, Dropshrooms and the Fungali Bungali populate the layer. Some fungus emits radiation, and the Fungali drops Bunchunks used to craft Procoagulant. The layer is not in the demo; details are from pre-release material.

Pre-release information. This layer is not playable in the demo. Details come from developer updates, community datamining and pre-release material, and may change when the full game launches on November 9, 2026.

  3. Watch the radiation meter around glowing fungus.
  4. Do not trust the rain to keep you clean; sickness still comes from bad food.
